Indy's Division 3 Race was a nice break away from work. Irvin and Todd Frantz had first round wins in  Super Stock. Irvin won first round in the Hoosier Hemi with a dial of 10.33, actual time 10.331!  Second round was not as successful, and then came the rain. (We had to get a little help from a big green tractor to get out of the mud.) Still a great time with good ole boys.

2011 Racing Begins!

Belle Rose, LA hosted this years Jegs NHRA Cajun SportsNationals.  Irvin traveled to No Problem Raceway with racer Todd Frantz and crew members Gary Frantz and Jr Reinhardt. Class races didn't go as planned, the Hoosier Hemi stocker had trouble hooking up and Indiana Johns super stock cobalt was held back to avoid horse power penalty. Sunday racing was exciting when Indiana Johns cobalt was #5 in qualifying and Irvin went 3 rounds.  The weather was great and the time at the track was peaceful. Nice start to a new season!

Midwest Regional Tow Show 2010 (racing season over until March '11)

This year's tow show we brought our 75 ton Rotator and our new 2011 Dodge Wrecker.

Steve Strong, Joe Chubbs, Irvin and Mark Wheatley are a few of our crew enjoying the event. Steve received the honor of a 2nd place finish in this years Recovery Challenge, Mark received the honor of a 1st place win in the Tractor Trailor Backup Challenge!

And of course the family enjoyed the event also!

Mac Tools US Nationals 2010

This year's Nationals was a great success for Johns Racing Team! Irvin won class in Stock with the Hoosier Hemi and won Super Stock Class GT/BA with Indiana Johns. Irvin's partner Joey Wilkes made it to the fifth round in Stock eliminations, (Joey beat Irvin first round in stock eliminations). The main event was the Super Stock eliminations. Irvin was runner up to Jimmy DeFrank in the finals!! Friday's tear down of the Hoosier Hemi was long and intense, the week's weather was simply awesome, and the trip to the final round "Priceless".

Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Paks Pack an Impressive Punch at Pomona

A duo of Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Paks posted encouraging outings at the 50th Annual Kragen O’Reilly NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, Calif. Irvin Johns qualified No. 1 in the Stock Eliminator class while NHRA Pro Stock star Jeg Coughlin, doing double duty, claimed the No. 6 spot.

Johns, of Charlestown, Ind., recorded an ET of 9.918 in his Hoosier HEMI Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak, owned by himself and his wife, Gina, to claim the pole. Coughlin clocked a 10.046 pass in his Mopar Drag Pak to slot himself sixth in the class. Both drivers exited early in the elimination rounds but remained buoyed by their Winternationals weekend.

"I qualified No. 1 at the 50th Annual NHRA Winternationals at Pomona," said an amazed-sounding Johns, who also claimed the No. 1 spot in qualifying at the 2009 JEGS Northern SPORTSnationals in Columbus, Ohio. "It was fantastic. It’s what I came here to do."

Coughlin and Johns plan to run a heavy slate of events in their respective Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Paks during the 2010 season. Both drivers are scheduled for action next weekend at the NHRA Arizona Nationals at Firebird International Raceway in Phoenix, Ariz. 50th Annual Winter Nationals 2010

Irvin filled his life long dream of being able to race at the Winter Nationals. Irvin qualified #1 in stock with his Dodge Challenger and his Chevy Cobalt qualified #1 in super stock with driver Jeremy Duncan.

Hoosier Hemi's 1st Race- Div 3 Bowling Green

This is Drag Pak #006. This is the first Drag Pak to race at a NHRA event, also the first to run in the 9's! We beat Larry Hill first round heads up, second round lost to Sullivan who beat us on the tree. The car ran exceptionally great and a proud moment for Irvin.

2009 Cobra Jet is here!

On January 24, we joined 10 other excited buyers to claim our new 2009 Cobra Jet at Varsity Ford Ann Arbor , Michigan. What a day we had. Varisity Ford had an awesome party celebrating this event with all the buyers. You could feel the excitement in all who attended.
